Paris is well curated. We walked by a grocery store and saw immaculate piles of luscious fruit. "How much time does it take to do that every day?" one of us asked. "That's why the fruit is so expensive," answered the other. We nodded sagely.
Berlin has a louche charm. There’s graffiti in Friedrichshain, the beer gardens, the art, reclaimed spaces, flea markets, and rough edges at bargain prices—creativity springs up like weeds. I highly recommend the Sunday brunches.

An Initial Report
Annie is teaching in Paris; I am researching in Berlin. We are buying lots of EasyJet tickets.
